LOCATION: ODESSA region is located in the southern part Ukraine, with exit to Black sea and Danube River. The region has State Borders with Moldova and Romania. Due to its proximity to the Black sea, summer and winter temperatures tend to be several degrees higher than in the rest of the Ukraine. The climate is moderately continental, witha a short, mild winter and a long, hot summer. October to March is winter, December and January being the extremely cold months (avg. temperature 0o to 10o C). Till April, it is spring. During summer, from May till end of September, temperatures average between 15o to 25o C. Being a major city and a Port town, Odessa region is in abundance of choice food (Indian, Chinese, Arabian, Continental etc.), both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, and has a ridh and varied cultural life with theatres, Concert halls, Operas and Balle.
